Software Engineer

The Software Engineer is responsible for projects and production support for our healthcare applications and work with team to develop and support Phia custom applications, websites, integrations and Report development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support and enhance TPS, PATS, SoPhia, and PDM2.0 applications.
  • Debug and maintain full-stack components spanning frontend, backend, and database layers (Angular, Spring Boot, FastAPI, Node.js, SQL/NoSQL).
  • Manage containerized deployments and monitoring on Azure AKS.
  • Maintain and optimize RAG pipelines and vector search.
  • Develop and refine agentic AI workflows that leverage reasoning, tool use, and contextual automation.
  • Integrate and fine-tune GPT-based models and embeddings for accuracy and contextual relevance.
  • Implement CI/CD improvements and automate build/release processes.
  • Collaborate on design improvements, scalability, and future AI roadmap initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field plus 3 years of experience with Computer Science, Information Technology or related
  • Experience with Angular, Spring Boot, Python FastAPI, JPA/Hibernate or similar software; 2+ years with AI integrations preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Qdrant, and CouchDB.
  • Experience with Azure AKS, Docker, Helm, and Redis.
  • Strong experience with RAG architecture, vector embeddings, and semantic search.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI workflows and frameworks.
  • Experience building and optimizing GPT-powered applications and chatbot pipelines.
  • Solid grasp of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
  • Familiarity with open-source stacks, containerized environments, and scalable cloud deployments.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across distributed system.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

Sitting at workstation for prolong periods of time. Extensive computer work. Workstation may be exposed to overhead fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Fast-paced work environment. Operates office equipment including personal computers, copiers, and fax machines.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
